Student Sponsor Partners’  Nineteenth Annual Founder’s Dinner Raises $2.4M, Honors Bayo Ogunlesi and Featured Guest Lloyd Blankfein

New York, NY (April 30, 2018) – Thanks to your incredible generosity, our Nineteenth Annual Founder's Dinner raised over $2.4 million - the highest amount ever raised - to support Student Sponsor Partners' vital mission of providing a quality high school education to low-income, academically vulnerable New York City students.

Over 350 guests supported and celebrated Student Sponsor Partners on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at The Pierre in New York City. We honored Bayo Ogunlesi, Chairman, Managing Partner and Founder of Global Infrastructure Partners, for his dedication and commitment to positively impacting the lives of countless students. We were delighted to have Lloyd C. Blankfein, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. as our featured guest.

Debra Vizzi, an SSP alum who is now our new executive director, said the program made her the leader she is today. "I was one of the first students to receive a scholarship to attend a private high school from SSP's founder, Peter Flanigan," she said. "Those four years of high school informed the next forty years of my life. Being given that opportunity changed my life, changed my community, and helped me to become a leader at the best nonprofits in the country. I am honored to come home to where it all started."

Your dedication to SSP makes it possible for us to provide thousands of deserving students with a college-preparatory high school education. Thanks so much again for your support of our students and this vital cause.
