My name is Melanie. I am a rising sophomore at Manhattan College majoring in mechanical engineering and I'm also an SSP Flanigan Scholar. I was given the amazing opportunity to be an intern at Swiss Re, which I began last week.
Swiss Re is a reinsurance company and it is very interesting to learn all about insurance. So far, we have been introduced to many members of the company and have learned about their various important roles as well as some lessons and seminars in business and about the company.
I really look forward to working on a group project given to me and the other interns and being able to have a hands-on experience. Also, I am very excited to work with other employees from Swiss Re and my mentor to create a successful project.
