SSP Scholar Eyes Career in Law Enforcement

Senior Nash Morency was already enrolled at La Salle Academy when his mother heard about Student Sponsor Partners. With the hope of offsetting the cost of his private-school tuition, she encouraged him to apply to the program. Nash was accepted, allowing him to continue his education at a school he clearly loves.

“My experience at La Salle has been nothing short of amazing,” Nash acknowledged. “The opportunities I’ve had here are unlike any other, and I’m grateful for all the good things that have happened to me as a result.”

A former member of both the La Salle track team and Fitness Club, Nash enjoys the martial arts and working out. “I also like learning about the music, food, and other aspects of different cultures,” he noted.

While Nash doesn’t have a favorite academic subject, he finds English the easiest. This fall, Nash will attend St. Francis College in Brooklyn, where he plans to major in criminal justice. Post-graduation, Nash would like to pursue a career in law enforcement. “My dream job would be to work for the Central Intelligence Agency, leading or assisting with operations in the field,” he said.
