We Stand In Solidarity To Create Change

There are no perfect words to capture grief and anger, but there is one we must use as our guide: ENOUGH.

Enough violence. Enough racism. Enough injustice. But also, are we doing enough?

Two years ago, we partnered with the NYPD to start a conversation and alter perceptions. In this proactive effort, hundreds of officers signed up to mentor our students, and both have benefited from these bonds. We're committed to doing more to be there for and with our young people.

We are working on new programs and opportunities to dialogue these issues in constructive and peaceful ways. We are developing spaces where we can learn and grow together and challenge one another in a healthy way. We will involve our community partners including NYPD mentors who impact our students and many of whom are walking with protestors for justice.

Racism, violence, and injustice for all people and communities of color are not new or isolated. They are systemic and affect young people every day. We stand in solidarity against systemic racism.
