Justin Diaz, a rising senior at Christ The King, has been documenting the past few months with two tools – his camera and a notepad. He has also (safely) captured the experiences of his Student Sponsor Partners peers.

"SSP means opportunity to me. Mentorship. Guidance. All essential and imperative keys that will lead me to success! My dream is to be a biochemist and help people fighting lupus. SSP helps me achieve these goals by giving me the chance to receive a strong education. Even during this time of uncertainty, SSP has been there for me. Quarantine has been hard, but it has allowed me the time to do much re-evaluation and work on things that I could improve. I recommend everyone use this time to search within and apply as much time and effort into achieving whatever you want."

"What SSP means to me is something comparable to a blessing as they helped me in many ways throughout my high school life and experience. My goals and ambitions include fulfilling the hopes of my mom to successfully complete my years of high school, attend college, and grow up to be the man she wants me to be and the man I want to be.
Quarantine was something I needed to get used to but I feel that it has helped me. I started to educate myself more about the world and society, as well as focused on growing as a person and supporting those around me. I suggest keeping a positive attitude and putting your effort toward something you want to achieve, as you should use quarantine and the summer wisely to reach your goals!"
